Sandy Lerner inhabits two seemingly disparate analytical spaces - one technological, the other literary and historical. In her presentation, Ms. Lerner will consider how these methods of intellectual engagement impact her work as one of the world's foremost technological innovators; as an Austen scholar; as the author of Second Impressions, a sequel to Austen's Pride and Prejudice; and as an architectural preservationist whose work on Chawton House and the Centre for the Study of Early English Women's Writing supports the collection and circulation of some of the rarest and oldest books written by women.
