UGA Dept of Drama Performs Pride & Prejudice

UGA Students performing Pride and Prejudice

This was a high energy production with lots of choreography.  It presented as almost a farce - along the lines of The Importance of Being Earnest.  The sets and costumes were first-rate.  Several of us were among the thousands who attended.  Some comments:

"The play is wonderful! You will love it. Mr Collins and Lady Catherine are fantastic in the sense of figures of fantasy. Nice slant on Mary."
"Everyone planning to go to next weekend's performance is in for a real treat. Linda and I attended the matinee performance yesterday. All aspects of the drama were first-rate - the dancing, music, casting, costumes, acting, sets,... My kudos go to the director who pulled it all together with a talented college cast and crew."

It was a fitting climax to 2013 - the year we all celebrated the 200th anniversary of P&P.

Welcome to the Atlanta Region of JASNA!

Our members meet regularly throughout the year to enjoy lectures, attend events, and discuss the works, life, and times of Jane Austen (1775-1817). We meet on the weekends so that people living farther out from the city will be able to attend more easily. We hope you will join us! info@JasnaAtlanta.org.
